The final, historic confrontation on 13 July 1660 at a mountain pass close to the fort Vishalgad, situated near the city of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India, was a pivotal battle between the Maratha warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande and Siddi Masud of the Adilshah Sultanate, known as the Battle of Pavan Khind.
